Yang Yang is the Founder and CEO of MotionWave, a business consulting and advisory firm that helps companies and organizations develop strong growth strategies, enter new markets, launch products, build strategic partnerships, and connect promising projects with investment opportunities. With more than 18 years of experience across banking, fintech, cross-border business, and entrepreneurship, Yang brings a global perspective and extensive business
experience to helping organizations turn opportunities into sustainable growth.

Through MotionWave, Yang advises companies on business strategy, market expansion, product launches, marketing, strategic partnerships, public relations, and investment development. MotionWave also helps companies and project owners promote investment opportunities, strengthen their market positioning and investment narratives, and connect
promising businesses and projects with potential investors and strategic partners. With strong connections across Canada and Asia, Yang helps businesses navigate new markets, build meaningful partnerships, and identify opportunities for long-term growth.

 

Yang is also the CEO of Motion Pay, a Canadian fintech company specializing in cross-border digital payment solutions. Prior to her entrepreneurial journey, Yang held senior roles at CIBC Capital Markets and BMO, where her work focused on cross-border business strategy, market development, and expansion across China and Southeast Asia. Throughout her career, she has built a strong track record of connecting businesses, markets, capital, and opportunities between Canada and Asia.

 

Beyond business, Yang is deeply committed to community leadership. As President of the Scarborough York Region Chinese Business Association, she supports entrepreneurship, newcomer integration, business collaboration, and stronger economic connections within the Chinese Canadian community and beyond.

 

Yang believes entrepreneurship is not only about building successful businesses, but also about connecting people, capital, and opportunities to create lasting economic and community impact.


Yang holds an Executive MBA from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Carleton University.
